The UWF 150 SERVO has been designed as a professional servo-driven milling machine for tasks requiring precise control of table movement. Maximum travel of 1300x320x460mm in the X/Y/Z axes enables machining of large workpieces, while feeds of 30-750/20-500/15-375mm/min allow the working movement to be adapted to the type of material, tool and operation.

Servo drives on all axes improve positioning control and facilitate repeatable working movements. The servomotor torque of 15Nm provides suitable feed drive parameters for professional machining operations.

Construction and technology of the UWF 150 SERVO industrial metal milling machine

The machine uses vertical and horizontal spindles with 7:24 ISO50 tapers. The vertical spindle is driven by a 4.5kW motor, while the horizontal spindle is driven by a 5.5kW motor. The speed range is (12) 60-1750rpm for the vertical spindle and 60-1800rpm for the horizontal spindle, allowing the speed to be adapted to the tool diameter and material being machined.

Guideways and durability of the motion system

The trapezoidal X-axis guideways and wide rectangular Y/Z-axis guideways form a stable guidance system for the working assemblies. Ball screws on all axes support repeatable movement, while the central lubrication system ensures regular delivery of lubricant to the guideways and reduces maintenance requirements.

3D head and flexible machining configuration

The tilting and adjustable upper beam and 3D vertical head increase spindle positioning possibilities. This enables surfaces to be machined at different angles and reduces the need for repeated workpiece setup.
