This industrial universal milling machine is a versatile solution for heavy industry, workshops, toolrooms and maintenance departments. Its solid, rigid construction ensures stability during demanding machining tasks. Equipped with hardened guideways and a swivelling head, it enables precise milling at different angles. The large 1500x360mm worktable with a maximum load of 600kg allows efficient machining of large workpieces. A 3-axis SINO digital readout is supplied as standard to support efficient operation.
UWF120 Universal Milling Machine is a professional metal milling machine designed for precise machining of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metal components. The large 1500x320mm worktable, wide travel range and the ability to operate with both vertical and horizontal spindles allow the machine to perform a variety of milling operations in one-off, small-batch and workshop production.
UWF120 universal milling machine – rigid construction and wide machining capabilities
The UWF120 has been designed for users who require a universal milling machine with a stable construction, wide adjustment range and the ability to perform various operations at a single workstation. The precision spindle gearbox and ground and hardened guideways support accurate movement of the working assemblies and help maintain geometric parameters during long-term operation.
An important advantage of the machine is the ability to position the head at different angles thanks to the combination of two tilting planes. This allows the tool position to be adapted to the geometry of the workpiece and enables machining of surfaces that would require additional clamping or repositioning of the workpiece on a conventional milling machine.
Main machine advantages
- 1500x320mm worktable providing a large surface for clamping workpieces and tooling.
- Table travel 1000/320/340mm in the X/Y/Z axes enabling machining of workpieces of various sizes.
- Vertical and horizontal spindles increasing the range of machining operations.
- ISO40 taper compatible with a wide range of milling tooling.
- Central lubrication system supporting proper operation of moving components.
- Hardened and ground gears in the spindle gearbox supporting stable and smooth operation.
- Weight 2,100kg providing a solid base during machining.
Construction and technology of the UWF120 metal milling machine
The machine construction has been designed for professional metalworking requirements. The rigid base, substantial working assemblies and guideways with appropriately prepared surfaces reduce the influence of vibration and play on the machining process. In practice, this provides more stable milling conditions and enables repeatable tool guidance.
The vertical spindle speed range is 45-1660rpm, while the horizontal spindle range is 34-1320rpm. This allows the machining parameters to be adapted to the tool diameter, material grade and required performance. Motors rated at 2.2kW for the vertical spindle and 3kW for the horizontal spindle enable typical milling operations to be carried out in workshop and industrial applications.
Precision, movement range and process organisation
Table feeds ranging from 25-595mm/min allow the working speed to be adapted to the type of milling operation. The spindle face-to-table distance of 90-430mm and spindle axis-to-column distance of 400-800mm provide flexibility when positioning workpieces of different heights and widths.
Three T-slots with a width of 14mm and spacing of 70mm enable stable mounting of vices, holders and additional tooling. This allows the UWF120 to serve as a primary machine tool in facilities using universal milling machines for varied production tasks.
Applications of the UWF120 universal milling machine
The UWF120 universal milling machine is suitable for toolrooms, mechanical workshops, maintenance departments, repair facilities and companies engaged in one-off and small-batch production. The machine can be used for milling flat surfaces, slots, surfaces positioned at an angle and other operations typical of industrial metal milling machines.
Machine characteristics
- It features a precision spindle gearbox and ground, hardened and finished guideways, providing durability and machining precision over many years of operation.
- The required tilt angle can be set thanks to the innovative combination of both tilting planes.
- The central lubrication system and ground and hardened gears in the spindle gearbox ensure quiet and smooth operation.
