Lifts and cranes
CORMAK workshop hoists and jib cranes facilitate the lifting and positioning of heavy parts, components and materials during assembly, maintenance and loading operations. They help to reduce manual lifting, streamline load handling and improve work organisation at the workstation.
The range includes jib cranes with manual winches and jib cranes with electric hoists. Solutions with an adjustable boom allow the reach to be adjusted to the position of the load, whilst the electric drive eliminates the need to turn the crank by hand during lifting.
Whether you need a crane for a workshop, a service centre or a loading bay, take a look at CORMAK’s hoists and cranes and choose a solution tailored to the weight of the items being lifted and the working conditions.
Workshop cranes – lifting and positioning heavy loads
CORMAK workshop cranes are designed to handle heavy parts, components and materials during technical work. They facilitate the lifting of items requiring a lifting mechanism, reducing the need for staff to lift them manually.
A suitably selected crane allows the lifting method to be adapted to the load’s weight, the required reach and the layout of the workstation. Depending on requirements, you can choose a manually or electrically operated solution, taking into account the frequency of use and the availability of a power supply.
Cranes with a manual winch – operation without an electrical supply
A manual crane with a winch enables loads to be lifted using a crank mechanism. It does not require an electrical supply, making it ideal for workstations where access to electrical installations is limited or not required.
One example is the CORMAK DS500, fitted with an adjustable boom and a manual winch with a 5:1 gear ratio. The crane offers a lifting capacity of up to 500 kg at a shorter boom reach. As the reach increases, the permissible load decreases; therefore, the configuration must be selected to suit the weight of the load being lifted.
The adjustable jib makes it easier to align the lifting point with the position of the load, which is useful during assembly work, repairs and the maintenance of technical equipment.
Electric cranes – more convenient lifting of components
Cranes with an electric hoist reduce the effort required by the operator when lifting heavy components. The electric drive takes over the work of the lifting mechanism, eliminating the need to turn the crank by hand.
This range includes the CORMAK DSA500 with a 230 V electric hoist. The hoist allows lifting in two configurations: with a block, providing a lifting capacity of up to 500 kg, and without a block, with a lifting capacity of up to 250 kg and a higher lifting speed.
This allows the hoist’s operation to be adapted to the weight of the parts being lifted. The figures given relate to the hoist; the permissible load for the complete crane must be checked in the design documentation.
The use of hoists and cranes in workshops and production facilities
Workshop hoists and cranes for lifting loads are used during operations requiring the lifting of heavy components and their positioning in the workplace.
- Workshops and service centres – lifting parts during repairs, dismantling and replacement of components.
- Manufacturing plants – handling components and materials during assembly work.
- Loading bays – lifting parts and materials being prepared for transport.
- Maintenance work – lifting heavier components during equipment servicing.
The scope of application depends on the crane’s specifications, the method of its mounting and the conditions at the workstation.
How to choose a workshop crane for the type of work?
When selecting a crane for lifting heavy components, several key parameters must be taken into account:
- Crane lifting capacity – the permissible load for the entire structure, not just the winch or hoist used.
- Jib reach – the distance between the lifting point and the structure, which may affect the permissible lifting capacity.
- Type of drive – a manual winch for use without a power supply, or an electric hoist to reduce the operator’s effort.
- Method of installation – the need to ensure appropriate mounting and operating conditions in accordance with the documentation.
- Frequency of use – where lifting is carried out regularly, it is advisable to take into account the mechanism’s permissible operating mode.
Selecting the correct crane requires taking into account both the load weight and the required working range. This allows you to utilise the crane’s capabilities without exceeding the permissible loads.
Explore the range of CORMAK hoists and cranes and choose a solution tailored to workshop, maintenance, assembly and loading tasks.
