UWF 200 SERVO Universal Milling Machine is an industrial metal milling machine designed for intensive machining of large workpieces. The UWF 200 SERVO has been designed for facilities that require a universal milling machine with a large working area, high structural stability and precise control of axis movements. Maximum table travel of 1600x490x460mm enables machining of long and heavy workpieces, reducing the need for frequent repositioning between successive operations.

The installed 15Nm servomotor supports smooth table movement and precise positioning during machining. The X/Y/Z axis feed ranges of 30-750 / 20-500 / 15-375mm/min, respectively, allow the working movement speed to be adapted to the type of milling operation, material and tool used.

Construction and technology of the UWF 200 SERVO metal milling machine

One of the key design elements is the 360-degree swivel head, which allows the tool to be freely positioned relative to the machined surface. This solution increases process flexibility and enables operations to be carried out at different angles without having to reposition the workpiece each time.

Schneider Electric electronics and SERVO drives control the machine's basic functions and ensure stable axis movement. The control panel has been designed for quick access to operating parameters, while the large table surface allows the operator to prepare an extensive machining setup.

ISO50 spindle and cutting parameter range

The milling machine uses a 7:24 ISO50 spindle taper in both horizontal and vertical configurations. This solution enables the use of tooling intended for heavier industrial applications. The speed range is 60-1750rpm for the vertical spindle and 60-1800rpm for the horizontal spindle, with 12 speed steps.

The 7.5kW horizontal motor and 5kW vertical motor allow the machining method to be adapted to the workpiece geometry and the type of operation being performed. As a result, the UWF 200 SERVO can be used for rough machining, face milling, slot milling and machining components that require working from different directions.

Precision, stability and operating efficiency

The machine weight of 4,500kg provides an appropriately stable structural base during cutting. The spindle-to-table surface distance of 196-656mm and the horizontal spindle-to-table distance of 20-480mm allow the working area to be adapted to different workpiece heights and tooling configurations.

The 550mm arm travel further increases the ability to position the head relative to the workpiece. In practice, this provides greater freedom in organising the machining process and reduces the number of additional preparation operations.
