IMET KTECH 352 F1200 Band Saw

KTECH 352 has an easy and intuitive interface designed to optimize the user experience: thanks to the CNC system and the 10” touch screen, the user can manage all the machine functions, set up to 99 cutting programs and multiple cutting lengths on the same bar.

The automatic cutting machines of the KTECH line have an innovative 4-axis control system (lateral movement and closing of the vice, material feeding and arm rotation), all managed by numerical control.

It is made of electro-welded steel and has a tubular section. It also has an easy belt change system assisted by an actuator. Hard metal inserts on the belt guides optimize its guidance.

KTECH 352 uses 27×0.9 mm high-tension belts (up to 1900 kg/cm²), which ensures high rigidity during material feeding and cutting, minimizing vibrations and stress on the band and preventing it from cracks, which could impair the quality of the cut

Like all IMET machines, this model cuts the material not parallel to the plate, systems of this type always cut only one part of the material, even when working with squares.

The arm rotation and the angle setting are done by means of a gear motor controlled by a frequency converter and is driven by a rack and pinion. The movement is blocked by a hydraulic cylinder. Lowering is done hydraulically with pressure regulators on the control panel next to the HDI system.

The material detection system automatically detects the first point of contact, allowing the arm to quickly approach the material. The final cutting process is managed by a microswitch on the mobile tape guide.

Once the material is loaded, it is provided by an integrated motor feeder equipped with a self-locking electric motor, a feed screw (which also optimizes positioning) and an encoder. The feeder slides on chrome bars with a floating plate to facilitate the loading of material that is not perfectly simple.
