IMET KS652 NC Bandsaw

Machine description:

• The KS range is the only machine in its class that allows cutting both left and right by simply setting and closing the vice once – after placing the workpiece, the user can set the angle and rotate the arc without having to open the vice and move the material. The vice moves laterally on the work area with quick access.

• The saw is equipped with a rigid frame made of electro-welded steel with a tubular cross-section for high stability during cutting. Like all IMET saws, the KS model has a high band tension (2000 kg/cm²) and a 6° inclined band, which ensures better material feeding and reduces load, and also optimizes cutting even large cross-sections and solid materials.

• The saw arm is equipped with a gear motor and inverter to control rotation, while a hydraulic cylinder supports precise positioning. The power of the rotary motor is 0.55 kW.

• The rotation of the arc, its positioning and movement are controlled by the user using a 7” touch screen, placed on the mobile control panel. The interface was designed by IMET engineers to be intuitive and easy to use.

• The wide work table fully supports the material. The machines are very user-friendly thanks to automatic feet from 0° to 60° left/right.

• In order to increase the precision of cutting, IMET band saws are equipped with a system for detecting the cutting angle relative to the center.

• The mechanical material detector ensures quick approach of the band to the material, automatically detecting the first cutting point, while the end of the cut is controlled by a microswitch on the moving band guide, which allows for perfect setting thanks to hardened pads and bearings auxiliary.
