CORMAK BA158 semi-automatic PP strapping machine

The CORMAK BA158 is a semi-automatic strapping machine designed for the fast and consistent securing of cartons, parcels, boxes, packages and bulk packaging with polypropylene (PP) strapping. The machine reduces the number of manual operations and streamlines the preparation of goods for dispatch or storage.

Once the tape has been manually guided around the product, the machine carries out the remaining stages of the strapping cycle. The built-in tensioner controls the tape tension, whilst the heat-sealing mechanism creates a thermal bond and cuts off any excess material. The process does not require the use of additional metal or plastic clips.

Semi-automatic strapping cycle

After wrapping the strap around the product, the operator places the end of the strap into the strapping machine’s mechanism. The machine automatically tightens, heat-seals and cuts the strap.

The maximum strapping force is 400 N. The repeatable operation helps to maintain consistent quality in the securing of successive products.

Open working area

The design, which lacks a closed frame, makes it easy to place products of various sizes and shapes on the worktop. This solution works well when strapping packages and bundles of different sizes.

The open design also makes it easier to rotate and move the product whilst applying several straps at different points.

PP strapping with a width of 5–15.5 mm

The strapping machine handles polypropylene (PP) strapping with a width of 5 to 15.5 mm. This range allows you to select the appropriate strapping for the type of packaging and the requirements of the packaging process.

The machine is compatible with tape rolls with an inner diameter of 200 mm, an outer diameter of up to 450 mm and a width of 200 mm.

Compact strapping station

Dimensions of 855 × 540 × 765 mm make it easy to position the BA158 model in a warehouse, dispatch department, distribution centre or next to an existing packing station. The worktop is at a height of 765 mm, which facilitates handling the product during strapping.
