The new, more compact design of the CORMAK WL2000 laser welding machine is a major advantage for plants where ergonomics and space saving matter. The CORMAK WL2000 3-in-1 laser welding machine is a modern device for welding, cutting and cleaning metal, designed for fast, precise and repeatable work in industrial conditions.
Laser technology provides aesthetic welds, low heat impact on the material and significantly higher efficiency compared with traditional welding methods. The WL2000 is ideal for processing stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, especially where speed, precision and reduced additional post-weld processing are important.
The CORMAK WL2000 3-in-1 laser welder is an advanced industrial machine that utilises fibre-optic technology for precise welding, cutting and cleaning. The new, more compact design means the machine takes up less space at the workstation, whilst maintaining high performance, repeatability and low thermal impact on the material. The new, more compact design takes up less space, makes it easier to organise the workstation and allows for more convenient use of the machine in a workshop, production hall or during assembly work.
Reduced dimensions – full efficiency without downtime
The new, more compact design of the CORMAK WL2000 laser welder significantly reduces the space required to set up the machine, making it easier to organise the workstation in a workshop or production hall. However, the smaller footprint does not compromise the machine’s capabilities — the WL2000 retains the full functionality of a 3-in-1 welder, offering efficient laser welding, cutting and cleaning whilst maintaining high precision, operational stability and ease of use.
Key advantages of the machine
- Compact design – the machine’s smaller footprint makes it easier to position it in a workshop, production hall or at an assembly station.
- Efficient water-cooling system – ensures a stable operating temperature and extends the service life of components.
- Ergonomic welding head – adjustable spot size 0–5 mm, interchangeable nozzles, 7 m fibre optic cable, full mobility.
- Automatic wire feeder – synchronised with the welder’s software, ensuring process continuity.
- Capable of operating with or without wire – flexibility in method selection.
- Capable of welding thin-walled materials – e.g. stainless steel from 0.5 mm thick.
- High weld repeatability – durable, aesthetically pleasing and requiring no further processing.
- Optional laser cleaning function – expands the machine’s functionality.
- Faster welding – up to 3–10 times faster than traditional methods.
- Low indirect radiation – the use of appropriate safety goggles is sufficient.
Design and technology
The WL2000 handheld laser welder is equipped with a 2000 W laser source, water cooling and a state-of-the-art welding head. The new version of the machine features a significantly more compact housing, which makes it easier to organise the workstation and allows the machine to be positioned more conveniently, even in confined spaces. The control system allows for easy switching between welding, cutting and cleaning functions. The design enables work in hard-to-reach areas, whilst interchangeable nozzles allow operation at various angles.
Precision and efficiency
Thanks to its focused beam and minimal heat input, the CORMAK laser welder enables the creation of precise and durable welds without the risk of deformation. Its penetration depth and operating speed make it the ideal tool for industrial applications where quality, speed and repeatability are essential.
